MDA paramedics Igor Krasny and Shimon Bismuth, who were at the scene, said: "This is a very serious incident, we saw the caravan on fire and burn to the ground, at first a young man in his 20s was rescued with severe burns to his limbs and after he inhaled a lot of smoke, we gave him life-saving medical treatment, anesthetized and breathed, and urgently evacuated him to an MDA helicopter that landed nearby and evacuated him to hospital in serious and stable condition. When we were able to enter, a 65-year-old man was found inside the caravan unconscious, with burns, he was without signs of life and we had no choice but to pronounce him dead."

The commander of the firefighting force at the scene, Sergeant Yossi Bitan, said: "When we arrive at the scene, we detect a strong fire from the building and understand from civilian testimonies that there is a trapped person. Firefighters entered the building and located him, he was quickly rescued and taken to medical officials in critical condition. At the same time, extinguishing operations were carried out to the building, thereby preventing the fire from spreading to nearby buildings."
