Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues his meetings in New York. On Wednesday evening, he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. In the days leading up to their meeting, Zelensky met with a group of rabbis and criticized the prime minister, saying, "Prime Minister Netanyahu called me recently and asked for my help with the protection of the citizens who are now coming to Uman. He said there were only shelters for 11,000 people but 30,000 were expected and asked us to do something to protect them."
"I told him that if Israel sends an Iron Dome it will help protect them and I promised him that if he comes to Ukraine, I will go with him to Uman," Zelensky continued, "I emphasized that the responsibility to protect the tens of thousands of Jews who come to pray in Uman this Rosh Hashanah is not only on Ukraine, it is also on the State of Israel, which is not doing enough."

Netanyahu arrived at the meeting with Zelensky empty-handed, that is, without news of new Israeli aid to Zelenskyy's country in the war against Russia.
