Delivery from Amazon: Police arrested a 35-year-old Tel Aviv resident Monday night who imported vials with a substance suspected of being a rape drug. The investigation was opened after the shipment he ordered was seized by the Jaffa Station Police and Customs Station. Officers raided the suspect's home, where they found other suspected drug substances, such as ecstasy, marijuana, and ketamine.

As stated, Jaffa Station police officers, in cooperation with customs, boarded a shipment of a rape drug, and as a result immediately opened an investigation and within a short time managed to reach the identity of the customer, who purchased the material on Amazon and eBay. Detectives collected the shipment and raided the suspect's home, where additional substances suspected of being rape drugs, ecstasy, marijuana, doctor, hallucinogenic mushrooms and ketamine were seized.
The suspect was detained and taken for interrogation at the Jaffa police station and released under restrictive conditions. During the day, he is expected to be brought to the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court to be remanded in custody.

Maj. Moshe Poistro said at the hearing: "The suspect imports drugs and uses them, according to us, not for personal consumption, of course. The investigation began when drugs intended for the suspect arrived from abroad and a preliminary examination by customs revealed that it was a rape drug, as a result a search warrant was issued at the suspect's address and yesterday various types of drugs, including ketamine, GBL, marijuana and ecstasy, were seized at his home - the suspect claims that the drugs are used for other things. Of course, that's no excuse, since anyone can bring drugs and claim it's not for use."
