An unusual case in the north: A tank was stolen tonight (between Tuesday and Wednesday) from a training base near the Elyakim interchange. A representative from the Ministry of Defense reported the stolen tank and was later located. The police opened an investigation.

Upon receiving the report, the Hof District police began searching and a short time later, Nesher Station officers located the tank inside a junkyard in the Nesher area. Meanwhile, a preliminary investigation into the circumstances of the case raises suspicions that the tank is inactive and was stolen from the scene for reasons that are currently being investigated. The police opened a joint investigation with the Military Police Investigation Unit.
