If for a moment you thought that the drama at the British royal palace had subsided or been forgotten, worry not. The conflict between estranged family members – specifically Harry and Meghan and Kit William – is far from over.

"William and Kate have closed the door to reconciliation with Harry and Meghan," journalist and royal affairs commentator Jenny Bond told OK! about Britain's future king and his wife, Duchess Kate Middleton. "When you come from a happy, close-knit family like Kate's," Bond explained, "it's very hard to understand how you get to such a state of alienation."
Bond went on to say that the biggest window of opportunity to mend the serious rift between the siblings and Harry and his nuclear family was in 2021 during Prince Philip's funeral, when Kate was spotted sharing moments of closeness and conversation with Harry, and reportedly even encouraged William to try and talk to his younger brother to smooth things out.

"We know it didn't work," she added. "Not only that," she revealed, "but it led to a crazy explosion right after the funeral. There comes a point where sometimes you have to accept that happy families are not a scenario that works for everyone," she concluded.

Bond added that even Kate, who is considered the calm and compromising side, was too offended by things Harry and Meghan said brought her to the point of no return. "William and Kate have come to the conclusion that the rift between them and Harry and Meghan is not something that can be repaired in the near future. They closed the door to that possibility and decided to get on with their lives."
