Highlights: Young members of the Druze community "responded" to the calls of Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, went up and "occupied" a hill on Mount Carmel. The group of young people who seized state land have already received warnings to evacuate the site, but they will not rush to do so. I foresee a violent and difficult confrontation between them and the security forces that will come to evacuate them. The evacuation will not take place in the coming month, mainly due to the municipal elections and the fear of setting the area on fire.

The evacuation will not take place in the coming month, mainly because of the municipal elections and the fear of setting the area on fire. But if a demolition order is issued, the frustration of 150,<> Druze will erupt like a volcano

In recent years, hundreds of young Druze have been trying to challenge the State of Israel with a variety of actions. This is a kind of copying patterns of behavior from the Jews, or, to be precise, from the settlers, including the hill boys.

About two weeks ago, several dozen young members of the community "responded" to the calls of Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, went up and "occupied" a hill on Mount Carmel. There, they announced the establishment of the "first Druze outpost."

This can be understood as a nice and interesting gimmick, although so far the move is not attracting attention - especially not the attention of the mainstream media, but in fact it is another step in the friction between the Druze community, especially the community's young people, and the state.

Despite the special connection between the community and the Israeli establishment, regardless of the identity of the government or the various ministers, it seems that the rift began with the approval of the Nation-State Law and continued with the approval of the Kaminitz Law. As you may recall, this is a law that imposes very heavy sanctions and financial sanctions and immediate demolition orders on any illegal construction. The crack is slowly opening up, without anyone noticing what is happening on the ground.

The Druze community is no different from Arab society in the way they receive from the state. Druze communities suffer from a severe housing shortage, neglected infrastructure, and lack of funding in many areas, not to mention the lack of industrial and employment zones that can benefit local authorities and the employment of workers.

Therefore, as the gaps between the Druze and Jewish populations grow, and as Druze communities are still at the bottom of the socioeconomic ladder, the sense of frustration grows and constitutes a basis for Druze protest activity against the state.

Although Israel's political leadership, right, left and center, just like senior defense officials such as the chief of staff, the head of Military Intelligence and the head of the ACA, maintain continuous contact with the religious leadership of the community, this is not felt on the ground, nor is there any positive sense of change from the state.

It was the feelings of frustration and despair that led to the establishment of the "first Druze outpost," perhaps as an attempt to prove the government's double message and attitude, especially toward the ministers who support the settlement enterprise.

The group of young people who seized state land have already received warnings to evacuate the site, but they will not rush to do so. I foresee a violent and difficult confrontation between them and the security forces that will come to evacuate them.

Although the evacuation will not take place in the coming month, mainly due to the municipal elections and the concern that such an event could stir up the entire area and set all the Druze communities on fire, mainly for political reasons, so in my assessment the evacuation will take place after the elections, but even when there is an evacuation, it will lead to violent clashes.

If the Israel Police receives an administrative order or court order, it will be obliged to act to implement it. On the other hand, such activity is liable to lead to a particularly violent confrontation, because the frustration of 150,<> Druze will erupt like a volcano, since in their eyes what is permitted to the settlers is also permitted to them, and the demand to approve the establishment of a Druze outpost on state land is very legitimate.
