Dozens of demonstrators arrived at the Sharon junction in Netanya under the slogan "Justice for Rafael" The demonstrators went down to the junction and blocked the road. They shout: "Not black and not white because we are all human beings" and "Justice for Rafael." They carry signs reading: "The blood of our children is no man's land," "Democracy without justice," and more. Some of the demonstrators wear T-shirts with pictures of Rafael Adana with the inscription "Raphael's blood is no man's land."
Four-year-old Adana was run over to death in a hit-and-run accident in Netanya in May. Police arrested a mother and daughter and they were later released. In the end, the State Prosecutor's Office decided to prosecute only the mother and only for the offense of abandonment. The prosecution claims that the driver could not have prevented the accident. The demonstrators are demanding that both mother and daughter be prosecuted and that they also be held responsible for the accident.
