An indictment was filed Friday morning in the Tel Aviv District Court against Yaakov Shmuel, a 28-year-old resident of Or Yehuda, for the murder of Shimi Dadon in the Golden Mall in Rishon LeZion two years ago. After being deported from Dubai yesterday, Shmuel was arrested at the airport.
The indictment joins the one already filed against Ronen Yirmiyahu, 23, from Dimona, Ran Yehezkel, 24, from Or Yehuda, Gal Shoshani, 48, from Bet Dagan, and Dor Yosef, 27, from Ramat Gan.

According to the indictment filed by attorney Sarit Shemesh, Yaakov Shmuel, together with Ronen Yirmiyahu, Ran Yehezkel, Dor Yosef and Daniel Arrubnev, belonged to a criminal gang headed by brothers Dean and Sean Ksantini. The group has a long-standing conflict with the brothers Noam Kahlon and Avi Kahlon, who head a criminal gang to which Moshe Damti, Naor Asraf and the late Shimon Dadon belonged, among others. Gal Shoshani is acquainted with the Kahlon brothers due to financial debts.
The gang conspired to intentionally cause the death of the Kahlon brothers. At some point, Dor decided to add Gal, in order to contact Noam Kahlon or another of his group and arrange a meeting to settle his debt. The plan was for Gal to report on the exact location and time of the meeting in order to implement the plan.

On August 18, 2021, the defendant and the gang met in a café in Tel Aviv to coordinate the murder plan. In the presence of Dor and the accused, Gal sent Noam Kahlon a voicemail: "Noam, my dear and beloved brother, atonement for you, here the driver came to pick me up, I'm done brother, where is my life going? I need you privately, bro. Like what is it in private? I have no problem with your brother, yes, having to exchange a word of atonement with you."
After Gal coordinated the meeting with Kahlon, Dor and the defendant informed Ronen and Ran of the details. The two armed themselves with a Glock semi-automatic pistol, which they concealed in advance. At 16:01 P.M., the Kahlon, Damti, Asraf and the deceased Dadon left the Kahlon brothers' office to meet with Gal at the meeting place.
Gal, who arrived at the meeting place, walked towards them and spoke with the Kahlon brothers in order to detain them. At 16:15 P.M., Ronen and Ran arrived at the scene. After those present noticed them and began to disperse, Ronen and Ren made a U-turn while Ronen pulled out his gun. Noam Kahlon and Damati jumped on a scooter and Noam began to drive while my blood was holding him. Ronen began shooting at them, endangering passersby.

At the same time, the deceased Dadon began to flee on foot to a nearby street. Ronen jumped off the scooter and began chasing him, shooting at him. Dadon fell to the ground, but Ronen continued firing to ensure he was killed. At this point, Ran arrived with the scooter to pick Ronen up. Ronen jumped on the scooter and the two fled the scene. Dadon was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ronen and Ran fled the scene using the scooter, threw the gun into a ditch on the side of the road, and when they reached Neve Monosson they left the scooter and all their equipment there. After the murder, the defendant came to Neve Monosson several times by car in order to destroy the equipment used by Ronen and Ran in the murder.
The indictment charges Shmuel with conspiracy to commit a crime (murder), aggravated murder (conveyed intent), obstruction of justice and destruction of evidence.
