Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a security discussion on Sunday with Defense Minister Yoav Galant and the heads of the security forces, including senior members of the General Staff and the Shin Bet.

The discussion discussed the country's security challenges in all arenas and sectors, with an emphasis on the Iranian threat and Iran's attempts to qualify, direct and support operations against Israel from afar.
The briefing, which took place in a small forum, excluded National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. It should be noted that for fear of leaks, Netanyahu makes decisions in limited discussions that he routinely holds, while emptying the cabinet of content, despite the dissatisfaction of Otzma Yehudit chairman.
The discussion discussed, among other things, security preparedness during the holiday season.
A few days ago, the defense establishment completed the largest defense deal in Israel's history, in which Galant signed the sale of the Arrow 3 to Germany. When asked what the defense establishment's position is on the agreement with Saudi Arabia, the defense minister said: "Since the beginning of the year, this issue has been dealt with. Peace with Saudi Arabia is a blessing for the State of Israel, but at the same time we will make every effort to hedge the risks and make sure that we act in the right and responsible direction," he said.

Referring to the missile embargo on Iran, which is set to expire next month, the minister warned: "The Iranian drones that are killing innocent civilians around the world are just the promo for what we will see if the missile embargo on Iran expires in a month. Iran will have freedom of action to proliferate advanced missiles, alongside the race to acquire military nuclear weapons. In the face of Iranian aggression, the international community must take meaningful actions."
