Against the backdrop of tensions in the north, Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah spoke Monday evening on the occasion of the birthday of the Prophet of Islam Muhammad. Among other things, he referred indirectly to the contacts between Israel, the United States and Saudi Arabia, saying that "any Arab country that might normalize its relations with Jerusalem must be condemned." During his speech, he also discussed the tension on the northern border and the contacts of international mediators on the issue. Nasrallah's remarks about normalization come against the backdrop of a report in Israel Hayom this morning according to which Israel has recently sensed an increase in Iranian motivation to direct attempted attacks inside Israel.

As in the past, Nasrallah claimed in his speech that the term "drawing the land border" was wrong because the borders were ostensibly defined long ago. He added: "The mediation currently taking place is concentrated in the area north of the village of Rajar because they want a solution to the issue of the two tents. In any case, it is the responsibility of the Lebanese state."
Nasrallah also claimed that there is no connection between the border issue and the Lebanese presidential election case, even though not electing a president for a year creates a governmental vacuum. "We have the same right to water as we have to the land and we will take it in full and not compromise on it. And every step that contributes to the liberation of the land – the resistance supports the Lebanese state in achieving it," he stressed.
Nasrallah also referred to the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War, saying that Syria and Egypt managed to strangle Israel until Prime Minister Golda Meir almost used nuclear weapons. The leader of the terrorist organization also addressed the events on the Temple Mount and said that there was an attempt to divide the Al-Aqsa compound geographically and temporarily.
"The Islamic nation must bear responsibility for what is happening to the Palestinian people in Al-Aqsa," he said. "The Zionists need to hear the voice of the Muslim world regarding the Muslims' first direction of prayer (Jerusalem). Instead, we are seeing progress toward normalization. And I say that we must condemn any country that might sign a normalization agreement. Condemn its behavior as it is as dangerous as stabbing the back of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and abandoning Palestine."
In the margins of his remarks, Nasrallah strongly attacked the LGBT community, saying that "there are those who want human beings to deteriorate to the lowest level possible by promoting homosexuality and human animals."
He added, "There are those who use media warfare or so-called soft war to weaken the people. Something that has not been achieved in military wars." He later claimed that the goal was to start a war between the Muslims. At the beginning of his speech, Nasrallah also condemned the attack in Pakistan.
