Following footage of a group of ultra-Orthodox Jews spitting on a group of pilgrims at the Lions' Gate in Jerusalem, and calling them "yuck." Former MK Limor Sun Har Melech spokesman Elisha Yared tweeted: "Spat near priests or churches is an ancient Jewish custom."
A group of pilgrims goes out with the cross to Lions' Gate Street and encounters a group of ultra-Orthodox worshippers with the 4 sexes, and then the spitting begins. Nir Hasson, who took pictures and was there - counted at least 7 spits and cries of "yuck".
