That's what we call snacking in style: two food superpowers, each in its own field, have teamed up with fashion and accessories companies, and launched special limited-edition collections that will allow fans to declare their uncompromising loyalty to these culinary brands.
Wearing the chicken
Let's start with KFC's New Zealand affiliate, partnering with local jeweler Nick Von K as a glamorous tribute to the boneless (and crispy, yes?) Hot & Crispy Boneless series of fried chicken restaurant chains.

The result is The Boneless Collection – a series of 11 silver necklaces (as many secret spices as the chicken's secret coating, of course), all of which boast bone-shaped pendants. "There are no bones in chicken, so I took that as inspiration for creating the collection," said Von Kay, who emphasized that the necklaces, some of which are also decorated with gemstones, "suit everyone and their style, from street fashion to haute couture, from indie teenager to coolest grandmother."
The price of the necklaces, in case you were wondering, is not cheap at all, at 1,299 New Zealand dollars per unit - which is about 775 US dollars. Some of the models are already out of stock, so maybe you should tell Grandma to hurry.
Wearing chocolates
Let's move on to the fiery collaboration of Hershees Chocolate and Crocs, which are launching a pair of especially sweet shoe models for Halloween. The first model is designed in the spirit of the classic chocolate bar of the well-known American candy brand – with a cute "Kiss" for decoration – while the second model is dedicated to the beloved peanut butter candy Reese, with a small "cap" decoration that simply makes you want to eat it (but we're not one of those who stuff shoes in your mouth, no matter how tempting they are).

Shoe prices in the U.S. are $65 for adult sizes and $55 for children's sizes, not including real chocolate, of course.
By the way, this isn't the first time (and probably not the last) that Crocs has teamed up with a well-known food powerhouse. About a month ago, it embarked on a similar move with Pop Tarts toaster pastries, and even before that it launched a collaboration with the fast-food restaurant chain Taco Bell. What shall we say, someone here knows which side of the shoe her jam is smeared on.
