Rachel, who was at the scene, wrote on her Facebook account: "If you heard about a shooting attack at a mall in Bangkok - then yes, we were there, an inch from the shooter. We ran frantically into the fitting booths of a nearby store..."
"Then the shooter continued to hang out near the store, we gathered 40 people in a room, locked all the doors and lay under tables for two hours - until police informed us that they had caught the shooter right next to us..."
Rachel later wrote: "We were smuggled through some delusional side passage because they were afraid there was another shooter."
A representative of the Thai Tourism Board in Israel said: "About an hour ago, a shooting incident took place at the Siam Paragon mall in the capital Bangkok, Thailand. The local police said it was apparently not a terrorist incident and managed to apprehend the 14-year-old shooter and will soon reopen the area to traffic."

They added: "So far it is known that 5 people were killed and <> were wounded, the identity of the victims is not yet known. The representative office of the Ministry of Tourism in Israel, in cooperation with the Thai Embassy in Israel, has set up a situation room for regular updates."
At least four people were killed and two injured earlier today at an upscale shopping mall in central Bangkok, after a 14-year-old gunman opened fire. According to local police, the shooter was arrested. The Foreign Ministry said there were no Israeli casualties in the incident.
Crowds were filmed fleeing the scene at Siam Pragram Mall, including dozens of tourists. The Siam metro station, adjacent to the shopping mall, was closed to traffic.
