A prosecutor's statement was filed yesterday (Tuesday) against a resident of Yatta, on suspicion that while driving a tractor he ran over Ziv Mesilati, the driver of a private vehicle on Route 20, causing his death. It is suspected that the perpetrator fled to PA territory after the accident until he was located by the police.
A day after the incident, the police arrested a resident of Rahat in the south on suspicion of driving the tractor at the time of the accident, but after a series of interrogations, he was released. Now the police are confident that they have the right man.

Father Tiran said after the suspect's arrest: "I hope the driver will be brought to justice. He ruined our lives. Since Ziv was killed, our lives have frozen. The hole in his heart since he was killed is big and we can't recover."
