Peak tension has prevailed in Judea and Samaria in recent hours, in light of the war taking place in the south and the fear that it will spill over into communities and roads.

During the day, most of the regular forces operating in Judea and Samaria were replaced by reservists, with the main emphasis being strong defense of the roads and the communities.
During the Sabbath there were a number of terrorist attacks that were halted. A terrorist tried to stab a security guard in Beit Aryeh and was shot, and a terrorist tried to run over fighters in the al-Arrub refugee camp and was arrested.

At the same time, there were a number of violent riots throughout Judea and Samaria, but the IDF took control of them and they did not spill out of the villages. There is intense tension in Judea and Samaria, and this has caused a number of serious incidents that fortunately did not end in death.

In two separate incidents, Israelis attempted price-tag operations against Palestinians. In one of the incidents, stones were thrown at vehicles suspected of being owned by terrorists, when in fact they were Israeli vehicles. The passengers were almost killed.

Near Elias Square, near Kiryat Arba, masked men rioted and clashed with IDF forces, spraying them with teargas. A reservist who saw them thought they were Palestinian terrorists, tried to shoot at them but encountered a stopper, ran over one of them and lightly wounded him.

A short time later, a very unusual incident also occurred in the Binyamin area. Near the Sha'ar Binyamin industrial zone, the driver of an Israeli vehicle opened fire at a man who had thrown stones at him, injuring him. Only later did it become clear that the stone-thrower was an Israeli.

The IDF warns that the feeling among the fighters is "war mode," and therefore vigilance is higher than usual. Serious events, which in the past may have been contained in one form or another, may result in death or serious injury.
