On the Iron Sword War, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry announces consultations by Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan to intensify efforts to contain the escalation in the Gaza Strip.
"Foreign Minister Samah Shoukry emphasized in the contacts the need to integrate international and regional efforts, and to unite the messages of the international community to demand an end to the violence and give an opportunity for calm between Palestinians and Israelis," the statement said.

Earlier on Saturday, Egypt warned of the "serious consequences of the current escalation between the sides." She called for "maximum restraint and refraining from exposing civilians to further danger."
