The names of those killed in the war continue to be published, and the story of each of them pierces the heart: Marcelle Talia, founder of Talia Farm in Mount Hebron, was shot dead by terrorists during Simchat Torah in Kibbutz Ein Hashlosha.

Talia's funeral was held Sunday evening at the cemetery in Susiya. "She was a unique woman," the family eulogized her, "a woman of the Land of Israel with all her body and soul, so she also lost her life, for the sanctity of the Land of Israel." The family asked: "The people of Israel need unity, love. Let's breed unconditional love as my mother has done all her life."

Marcelle's daughter, Liora Ben-Zur, gave birth on Friday, the eve of Simchat Torah. Marcelle managed to see her new grandchild and visit her daughter in the hospital.

"I am sorry to announce that my mother was murdered only a day after I gave birth," Ben-Tzur wrote to her friends. "My mother, Marcelle Talia, was a honey-sweet woman. She went out towards Dor and the children with sweets on Simchat Torah when the terrorists murdered her in Kibbutz Ein Hashlosha. Only good has she done in our world. Our hearts are crushed."

Marcel and her husband Yaakov, who immigrated from South Africa, established a single farm in Mount Hebron, where they lived for about twenty years, until 2015, when Yaakov was killed in a serious work accident near Yatir. Since then, their sons have managed the farm.
