For hours now, Hollywood celebrities, Jews and non-Jews, have been reacting emotionally to the difficult events of the Iron Sword War, to photos and videos that are hard to contain. Now Natalie Portman has also responded, and quite a few have been waiting to see how she will react to the issue - after two years ago she shared a post supporting the Palestinian struggle in Sheikh Jarrah, and was strongly attacked for it by Israeli talkbackers and local egg stars.

On the other hand, about a year ago she posted a post concerned about manifestations of racism against Jews, in which she wrote: "Seeing the resurgence of anti-Semitism makes my heart drop. This hatred must be fought with boundless love for each other, today I send great love to my Jewish brothers, and to all those who stand with us against these violent words and actions, it is painful and terrifying to hear this, I am grateful to those who continue to speak out against anti-Semitism, and against all forms of racism."

Even now, Portman posted on her Instagram account: "My heart is broken by what happened to people in Israel. Children, women and the elderly were murdered and taken prisoner from their homes. I am terrified by these barbaric acts, and my heart beats with love and prayer for the families affected."
