Michal Zefir gave an update on Monday in a post on the Instagram social network about the drama that unfolded in her family when her 78-year-old aunt Simcha and her husband Avraham were held hostage by Hamas members in their home in Kibbutz Be'eri. She attached a video of joy from her hospital bed, describing the horror that took place in her residence.

"I share a video of Aunt Simcha, my mother's sister, who is 78 years old, her husband Avraham sits next to her and Uncle Moshe talks to them after they were rescued from the clutches of three terrorists, human scum, who took over their home in Kibbutz Be'eri until the rescue of our heroic soldiers. Her 16-year-old grandson Amit was kidnapped and has been missing ever since. I spent my entire childhood on the kibbutz, and my heart is crushed. May we know better days, and all the captives and abductees will return soon. Thank you to the soldiers and security forces who protect us with their bodies and souls. Come back to us, all of you, in peace," she urged them.

Attached to the post, Zefir attached a video in which her aunt spoke from her sickbed: "Suddenly they shot at the door of the safe room and a bullet penetrated my leg and elbow, and all at once a stream of blood flowed, my stomach hurt. We didn't move from the safe room," the aunt said. "At one point, he (her husband) tried to go out for a moment to get a bandage and saw a terrorist sleeping on the couch, so he immediately went back to the safe room and shut down. They were home for hours. They cracked, and broke and crushed. My grandson was kidnapped, Amit. We don't know about him," she reminded. "Until 12 o'clock we were in the living room, and suddenly when I saw the terrorists, I said, 'Avraham, immediately go to the safe room.' We haven't had time to close the door yet. I told him, 'Avraham, I've been hurt.' They demolished the house. When the army finally arrived, they couldn't get in. Imagine what kind of situation we've gotten into," she concluded.
