After Hamas murdered 900 people in Israel, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed concern for the situation in Gaza on Monday.

"I am deeply troubled by Israel's decision to impose a full blockade on Gaza," Guterres said, "There will be no electricity, no food and no fuel." Guterres said that "the situation in Gaza was ominous" even before the Hamas offensive, adding that from now on it would only "get worse engineeringly."
"I urge all parties to allow access to UN personnel to provide humanitarian assistance to the trapped and helpless Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip," he added.
