Against the background of the continuation of the "Iron Swords" war, the IDF continues to make an effort to formulate a picture of the situation in terms of the number of casualties, fatalities, missing persons and abductees – civilians and soldiers alike.
The army acts quickly but reliably and reliably in the reporting and data in order to reflect the situation that is being built, and when it is ready – to notify the families of the murdered and wounded. The IDF intends to finish informing the families within the next 72-48 hours, while assisting the police.
Despite the great pressure exerted by the families on the IDF to quickly announce the casualties and murdered, the army continues to try to find the right space between speed, reliability and accuracy. They do so through a military and civilian hotline in cooperation with forces of the Chief Rabbinate and the forensic unit, which has received more than 3,000 calls so far. 100 of those calls were abandoned, to which dispatchers returned.

Regarding rumors that senior officers were kidnapped or murdered, there were several such reports that later turned out to be completely false.
The IDF was surprised by the timing, strength and cruelty of Hamas, but does not ignore the many displays of heroism and sacrifice seen since the beginning of the war, alongside the parallel offensive activity of the army, which is trying to move from control to full cleansing of the area – which may take some time. In addition, since the current round began, volunteering for the reserves has reached a new high.
