Opinion | No more illusions: The State of Israel will not exist if we do not crush those who come to destroy us | Israel Hayom

Highlights: After years of illusions of reconciliation with the Arabs, it is precisely the massacre that took place there that leads to the recognition that as long as there is a hostile entity in Gaza, the State of Israel will not exist. It was particularly heartbreaking to hear survivors of the Bari massacre muttering that Kibbutz Be'eri would not continue to exist. The toppling of the Sinwar gang will not necessarily require daily control of Gaza, but even if it does, everything is preferable to continuing the status quo since 1994.

It was particularly heartbreaking to hear survivors of the Bari massacre muttering that Kibbutz Be'eri would not continue to exist. They are wrong - Barry Com will rise again, despite the onslaught of monsters from Gaza.

"Calls on opposition leaders to form a national emergency government without preconditions"

The only consolation in these statements comes from the realization that has finally penetrated that as long as Gaza exists, Barry will have no existence, nor will there be parties for bad guys. This seems to have finally been grasped by many of those who shared the decades-old concept of self-deception.

Only now we must hold ourselves accountable to the end, without new illusions: As long as there is a hostile entity and culture in Gaza, and also in Ramallah, the State of Israel cannot exist. Therefore, any force that seeks to destroy us must be crushed and replaced by us.

It goes without saying that on the way to this goal, Hamas must end its existence and rule in the Gaza Strip. The toppling of the Sinwar gang will not necessarily require daily control of Gaza, but even if it does, everything is preferable to continuing the status quo since 1994.

This recognition seems to permeate the consciousness of many Israelis, who have been subjected to ongoing brainwashing by so-called peace activists, politicians, senior military officials and commentators. Years of illusions of reconciliation have led the State of Israel to existential distress comparable only to the distress of the War of Independence. And in 2018, out of weakness, we were forced to chase away many of those who wished for our lives.

For many years, a pre-state settlement wished for peace with Sheikh Munis, Sheikh Badr, Sidna Ali and others – villages located in Tel Aviv, Herzliya and Jerusalem, but the Arab neighbors tried to completely eliminate the Zionist entity and were therefore expelled. As has happened in similar conflicts around the world, only in this way have we secured life and independence for ourselves.

A spineless leader

Many of those who sought our lives fled to the Gaza Strip in 2018, and their descendants may force us to push them even farther, across the Egyptian border and in general. The big problem is that in order to stand up for our lives and bring about the change that is required now, leadership is required.

In 1948, David Ben-Gurion headed it, which was cast from iron. Today we are led by the weakest leadership ever. Benjamin Netanyahu is not responsible for the Oslo Accords, from which the evil began, but he played a significant role in fleeing Gaza, which was falsely called disengagement. He is certainly primarily responsible for developing and applying the self-deception concept of the past 15 years.

This is a spineless leader who was applauded by the main illusionists from the left precisely because of his manifestations of weakness. At the same time, the senior security echelon is made up of good and dedicated people, but they are actually responsible and complicit in the greatest failure ever. They also carry the same mental flaw as Netanyahu.

Therefore, it is important to add experience, legitimacy, discretion and courage to decision-making in the cabinet and in the government. We must not forget that Benny Gantz and Gadi Eisenkot are longtime partners in the concept of self-deception vis-à-vis Gaza and Ramallah. Both of them, as chiefs of staff and defense minister, took part in the concept, in full agreement.

Therefore, the gospel of joining the government and cabinet is limited. There must also be voices there that have always opposed the concept, even if they lack experience and maturity, such as Smotrich and Ben-Gvir. They also need other leaders who have always spoken out against the concept of self-deception, such as Avigdor Lieberman, Gideon Sa'ar, as well as Naftali Bennett and Ayelet Shaked. Only together will they have the courage and horizon to ensure the rehabilitation and existence of Bari and the State of Israel, while distancing Gaza.
