Now, a senior Navy official is revealing the scope of the activity.
"On Saturday at 6:30 A.M., we noticed four fast vessels leaving the Gaza fishing zone carrying out a raid into Israeli territory," he says. "Each has three rubber boats on board, plus one fast boat. Each boat has between six and eight terrorists, a total of about 30 terrorists."

"The two northern vessels, which were on their way towards Ashkelon, were destroyed at sea. The two southernmost vessels landed on the southern part of the coast. The terrorists managed to reach the shore, shots were fired at them from the sea and most of them were destroyed."

"The next day, between Saturday and Sunday afternoon, we managed to eliminate another 30 terrorists in the area between Aqsa and the Israeli-Gaza border. Some of the time we were assisted by UAVs, we were joined by tools of Shayetet 13. We managed to create a strong defense belt on the entire maritime border with Gaza."

"Since then, we have had a number of other locators and heads that came out of the water and we destroyed them. There was another encounter by a force of Shayetet 13 that went to deal with observation and radar components that needed maintenance."
