Nissim Locke, Shani's father, confirms that she is in hospital in the Gaza Strip. According to previous assessments, she was murdered.
"According to information we have, she is being held in a hospital in the Gaza Strip with a head injury in serious condition, apparently from a rifle blow to the head. But she breathes and lives," her father Nissim told Israel Hayom.
Locke is an Israeli who also holds German citizenship.
"She was brought there at eight o'clock on Saturday morning in serious condition, but we have credible information that she is alive. She is a German citizen, did not serve in the army and has lived in Germany most of her life. Israel tried to prevent Germany from acting to free her, but she must be removed from there, she is not receiving proper treatment."
