The Raiffeisenbank Erding was looking for "heroes of everyday life" and the response was great, 16 proposals were received. However, some wanted to continue doing good in secret.

Erding – Raiffeisenbank Erding has called for "heroes of everyday life" to be found. The response was overwhelming, she now says: 16 proposals were submitted. "Everyone is unique in their own way and enriches social life and cohesion immensely. And this should be particularly emphasized in order to find imitators," emphasizes Josef Nunberger, Head of Marketing at Raiffeisenbank Erding.

What these people have in common is their willingness to help and their personal commitment, which they carry out largely in secret. Everyone would have been happy to receive a call from Raiffeisenbank, but some stressed that they wanted to stay in the background.

Among the unsung heroes: Johann Eicher, the club chairman of the Erding Bulls, is a versatile sportsman and a "real community person". Renate Paukner-Fill dedicates eight volunteer hours a week to the library of the parish of Altenerding. Stefan Miklos, chairman of the DLRG Erding, is particularly involved in first aid and medical assistance. Maria Scharlach is active in senior events of the parish of Altenerding. Florian Mösl looks after young people at the Altenerding fire brigade. Monika Mairoth is the heart of the family household. "Everyday heroes, such as the helpful neighbor or the supportive mother-in-law, round off the image of heroes in our community," the press release continues.

Ulrike Scharf, Minister of State for Family, Labour and Social Affairs, added: "These people are the pillars of our society. Their stories are inspiring and deserve our highest recognition."

As an additional token of appreciation, Raiffeisenbank Erding is donating 250 euros each to the DLRG Erding, the library of the Catholic parish of Altenerding, the Altenerding youth fire brigade, the Erding Bulls and the readers' aid organization of the "Light in the Hearts" of the Erdinger/Dorfener Anzeiger.
