A large demonstration of support for Israel took place in front of the UN headquarters in New York on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday (Israel time). The rally was initiated by the Jewish Federation of New York and the JCRC alongside a number of Jewish organizations.
Thousands of supporters of Israel from across New York and nearby states came to stand beside her, including large groups of students draped in Israeli flags and waving signs in solidarity. The police at the scene were forced to expand the demonstration area because a larger amount of them arrived than they were prepared for in the production of the event.

During the event, New York Governor Kathy Hochul said, "New Yorkers will never tolerate evil. In these dark moments, we call for peace, but today we first call for justice for the massacre of babies, children and the elderly." Also speaking at the event, Israel's ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, said that "Hamas has launched a war not only against Israel but also against America. We have defeated darkness throughout history - and this time too we will win, Israel is here to stay forever."
Many online influencers participated in the event to convey messages of support to audiences in Israel and around the world, including Israeli actor Omer Hazan. Emily Austin, an online influencer with millions of followers on social media, told Israel Hayom, "Today more than ever I am proud to be a citizen of Israel. We always say 'never again' but today it's stronger than ever. The people of Israel are alive."

The event also included a reunion of New York religious leaders, including several priests, a bishop, an imam, and rabbis. "We are here to convey a message of unity against barbarism, and we will continue to stand with morality," the religious leaders said.
At the end of the demonstration of support, the participants began singing "Peacemaker" and signed with the anthems of the United States and Israel.
Opposite the large support event, dozens of pro-Palestinian demonstrators, including Neturei Karta members, demonstrated waving Palestinian flags and anti-Israel signs that they claimed "lit the fire." Local police, led by Mayor Adams and Governor Hochul, have stepped up security around places with Israeli-Jewish identification and are urging residents to be alert to violent activity by anti-Israel activists.
