The death toll rises to 10
While a plane is due to repatriate French people on Thursday, Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne announced on Wednesday that ten French nationals have died and 18 are missing. Among them, she told parliamentarians, "several children" from France were "probably kidnapped" by Hamas.
"I want to have a special word for our ten deceased nationals and the 18 of whom we have no news," the head of government said during the session of questions to the government in the Senate. "We are in constant contact with the families," she added, sending "all (her) thoughts to the French community in Israel, which is living in anguish."
