NBC reported Tuesday night that the United States is working to create a humanitarian corridor that will allow refugees from the fighting to leave Gaza for Egypt, in anticipation of the continuation of the fighting and in light of the possibility that Israel will conduct a ground operation in the densely populated Gaza Strip.
According to the report, Palestinians and American citizens in the Gaza Strip will be able to exit through the same corridor and thus avoid being harmed in the fighting. The Americans are coordinating the move with Egypt and other countries in the region.

After his historic speech, the American network also reported that during their conversation, the American president urged Prime Minister Netanyahu to refrain as much as possible from harming civilians. He reiterated a message along these lines in a tweet: "If the United States experienced something like this (the October 7 attack), our response would be swift, decisive and decisive. The White House statement also said that the president stressed the need for all countries to condemn Hamas' brutal atrocities, which are similar to those committed by ISIS in the past. Prime Minister Netanyahu informed President Biden that the Israeli people are united against Hamas, according to the statement.
The White House added that the two leaders agreed to speak again in the coming days.
