Jennifer Aniston joins Hollywood stars in addressing Iron Sword War. The American actress shared a series of humanitarian stories with her 43 million Instagram followers on Friday night, in which she expresses empathy for victims on both sides — and does not take a stand on the conflict.
"Here are some resources to support those who are now suffering in Israel and Palestine. My heart goes out to families mourning the loss of their loved ones," Aniston wrote at the beginning of her series of stories.
The first story Aniston published was sharing a post by veteran Jewish actor Mandy Patinkin ("Homeland") from two days ago, in which Patinkin wrote, among other things, that "the victims of the war are those on both sides who merely wish for a home and a sense of security. We think of every woman, man and child who won't get to grow old and see their grandchildren – the way we see our grandchildren. We stand for peace and believe that this is the only way we can get out of this." Patinkin, it should be noted, does not mention the word "Israel" in a single word.
In another story, Aniston shared a story about the American Jewish Agency, which works for terror victims in Israel, but in another story, the actress shared a message from a Palestinian humanitarian organization (PCRF), which provides medical assistance to children in Gaza. Aniston's fourth story was dedicated to the Alliance for Middle East Peace, which seeks peace in the Middle East and is backed by "170 NGOs, numbering tens of thousands of Israelis and Palestinians." Another story directs Aniston's followers to the Israeli humanitarian organization IsraAID.
