Israel's war against Hamas has drawn harsh criticism in the Arab world against it, but also against the murderous terrorist organization responsible for the mass slaughter on 7 October. While more than 2,000 fatalities are reported in IDF strikes in the Gaza Strip, many Hamas leaders are safely based in Qatar and Lebanon issuing press releases.

Earlier today, Al-Mayadeen reported that the Iranian foreign minister met during his political tour in Lebanon with Islamic Jihad Secretary General Ziad Nakhaleh and Hamas deputy head Salah al-Arouri. Bahraini journalist 'Abdallah Al-Junaid wrote: "While Hamas terrorist Salah Arouri is sponsored by Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon, the residents of Gaza are being killed in revenge for the crime of the Iranian mercenaries. Hamas is against its own citizens. And this vile man (Aruri) renounces his actions for the sake of his master in Tehran. He left the people of Gaza to deal with their dark fate."

Junaid referred to Arouri's attempt to claim that Hamas terrorists did not murder innocents near the Gaza Strip, and that it was Gazans who infiltrated communities and committed the atrocities. Nevertheless, various publications revealed that Hamas ordered the terrorists to massacre as many people as possible, and planned the terrorist attack for a long time.

"Hamas leaders are Persian dogs (i.e. Iran) and slaves of the dollar. They sit in the hotels - eat and drink and have fun with their families. It is the residents of the Gaza Strip who pay the price. Are Ismail Haniyeh and Khaled Mashaal's sons on the battlefield? Is Mashaal and Haniyeh in Gaza? They started a fire in Gaza and are in the swimming pools in Qatar! May Allah take revenge on you, ye dogs," wrote a user in the Arab world.

During the war, Hamas head abroad Khaled Mashaal called for intervention by the Arab world, including taking to the streets and rioting on Israel's borders. This call also drew criticism, for example from the Iranian opposition.

"Mashaal asked all Muslims in the world to take to the streets and declared jihad. Now the question is where he is. Mashaal and other executives like Haniyeh have been living at the Four Seasons Hotel in Qatar for more than two years. This hotel is considered one of the 34 best hotels in the world," wrote journalist Amir Farshad Ibrahim, who is affiliated with the Iranian opposition. We note that the cost of one night in this hotel reaches hundreds of dollars.

In addition, a Saudi network activist wrote that "Khaled Mashaal led to the killing of innocents in Israel and Gaza and is now afraid in a hotel in Qatar." In Egypt, surfer Fadi Ahmed posted pictures of Mashaal in the gym. In Morocco, a user wrote: "Mashaal asks Muslims not only for their money but also for their blood and soul. At the same time, he spends time in hotels in Qatar."

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh himself called on the UN today to demand that Israel stop the war in the Gaza Strip. An Emirati journalist scoffed at the possibility of Haniyeh's sons joining the war while in luxurious hotels. Saudi journalist Abdullah al-Twil'i wrote: "Haniyeh calls on Muslims to fight. Don't Muslims have the right to know where he fled? Why did he start a war and then run away? Why did he leave the battlefield?"

Gamal Abdel Nabi, a resident of the Egyptian city of Al Mansoura, wrote on Facebook that "it is strange that the families of Haniyeh and others were smuggled two days before the war to Egypt and from there to Turkey and Qatar." He added that the Egyptians "remember that we destroyed 3,000 tunnels through which terrorists from Gaza infiltrated into Egypt and killed us from the security forces. The terrorists attacked 400 worshippers with rockets during the Friday prayer, and I say that Allah will have mercy on our people from your treachery."
