Following the Finance Minister's announcement on the payment of a grant to residents of the envelope who were evacuated or evacuated from their homes, and following the government's decision on the matter, the Tax Authority today (Sunday) opened the possibility of submitting online applications for the aid grant.

The grant is intended to assist evacuees in initial organization due to the speed of evacuation. According to the government's decision, the amount of the grant will be NIS 1,000 per person and up to NIS 5,000 per family, and the total amount of grants is estimated at NIS 80 million.

Eligible for the grant are residents of the Gaza envelope who live between 0 and 7 kilometers from the Gaza Strip who were evacuated or evacuated from their homes as of October 18. The application process is simple and takes a few minutes, one of the spouses will fill out an online application form for the family unit. Children over the age of <>, even if living with their parents, will apply separately for the grant.

Grant applications will be submitted on the Tax Authority's website and will be processed within 3 business days of submission, and after the Authority verifies the applicants' bank account.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotritz: "The State of Israel embraces the residents and is determined to provide them with any help it needs. No citizen will be left alone or chased by bureaucracy. All of them will be compensated to the last shekel. This is the least the state can and should do for its citizens who have gone through the worst."
