The quantity of weapons currently arriving at the National Institute for Ammunition Disarmament operated by the Yahalam Unit at Julis Base is very large, and the weapons presented to reporters for the first time are only 20% of the total collected.
"We were not surprised by the types of weapons, because we knew what they had, but we were surprised by the quantity they brought into Israel," said Maj. G., commander of the institute. "The fact that they came with dozens of vehicles and equipment. They were divided into vertebrae. There were anti-tank squads, sabotage squads, and even terrorists with bandaging equipment up to the paramedic level."

"All weapons, except for those destroyed in the field, arrived here. The Yahalam forces have been operating intensively since the outbreak of the war. The terrorists raided the State of Israel. They murdered men and women, they slaughtered children and the elderly. We found IEDs in homes and on the streets, and on top of bodies were found many grenades from which the wicket was removed, with the aim of murdering as many people as possible."
Ready for any task
At the entrance to the National Institute for Ammunition Disarmament, the weapons were placed in neat stacks. In one corner are the means of dressing, including field surgery equipment. Some of the medical equipment was stolen from the IDF before the war. In most cases, basic dressing equipment was discovered, but in one case, unprecedented bandaging equipment was found on the terrorist's body, indicating that they planned to fight in the field and treat their wounded while fighting.
Dozens of RPG launchers were found by the terrorists. Sometimes there were many launchers on one vehicle. Some of the equipment is very old and manufactured by North Korea, others are locally manufactured by Hamas.
Some of the launchers are RPG 7s that are not capable of damaging tanks, others, RPG 29, are capable of severely damaging tanks even if not necessarily penetrating them. Some of them had a double warhead, the purpose of which was to penetrate a tank and severely damage it.

Some of the rockets that arrived had blood marks on them. Terrorists who sought to fire at forces were eliminated moments before launching the rockets. IEDs and dangerous equipment were also removed from the bodies of terrorists on the ground.
The terrorists armed themselves with many IEDs. Some of the IEDs are intended to attach themselves to tanks and vehicles in order to harm civilians and soldiers as much as possible. Quite a few of the vehicles from the party in Re'im contained deadly explosive devices that were ready to explode on contact.
Many houses were burned as a result of particularly harsh explosive devices designed to burn a room with its inhabitants in a style similar to a napalm bomb. These IEDs caused many casualties. In some cases, bodies were found joined together after being hit by such bombs.

The vast majority of guns in the south are seized and communities are free of dangerous weapons. At the same time, says Maj. G., "Yahalam fighters are prepared for any mission they may be required to undertake."
