Frey tweeted on Saturday in part: "In the 24 hours I was cut off, 126 children were killed in the Gaza Strip. In the past week, 2215 people were killed there, including 724 children and 458 women. Just as the murder of Ido in Bari is a crime, Ahmed's murder in Gaza is a crime. Halas, stop. Listen to me carefully: You don't have to be a great leftist to ask for a stop. Stop a moment."

After the tweet, right-wing activists dressed in black came to his house and began shouting slogans at his house and even set off the beehive of fireworks. At one point, he asked to leave his house for a safe house and police escorted him, after which right-wing activists continued to follow him. The police have opened an investigation and no suspects have been arrested so far.
