Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively donated $1 million to the International Council of the Red Cross "to help children in Israel and Gaza," a source close to the glamorous Power Capel told The Hollywood Reporter.
However, it seems that the two, who married in 2012 and donate extensively to various humanitarian and social causes – with an emphasis on donations for children – chose not to back a particular side of the conflict, and have yet to address the war on their popular social media pages (Reynolds has 50 million followers on Instagram, while Lively maintains 43 million followers).

Although many celebs have spoken out against the war in the past week, Reynolds, 46, and Lively, 36, parents of four, are among the first — if not the first — stars to donate their own money to a medical/humanitarian organization that helps those affected by the campaign. In the past, they have donated the same amount to Ukrainian refugees who were forced to abandon their homes due to the Russian invasion, to an actors' organization that has been on strike for several months in Hollywood, and before that to North American aid organizations during the coronavirus pandemic.

Already on the day of the outbreak of the Iron Sword War, the Red Cross supplied hospitals in the Gaza Strip with medical equipment, including stretchers and body bags. The organization also asked to visit and treat Israeli abductees held captive by Hamas.
