On Saturday, Avigdor Lieberman came to comfort mourners in Kfar Menachem. The families of Sergeant Afik Rosenthal, a Magellan soldier, and Staff Sergeant Yuval Ben Yaakov of the 77th Battalion are sitting next door, and the painful condolence of the mourners has lengthened. Lieberman is not a big believer in the new technology called smartphones. In general, he and phones are less friendly, and again he did not take the phone with him.
When he got back on the phone, he saw a flood of missed calls, one of which was almost imaginary: "Hello Mr. Lieberman, I want to pass on Aryeh Deri to you," said the voice on the other side.
Lieberman and Deri are a long story. The two, who were best friends, became the biggest haters. It was much more than a political argument, it's completely personal. Expressions such as thief, liar, cheat, no forgiveness and no atonement - were spoken publicly. In rooms, the words were harder.
Still, the conversation, which lasted three minutes and was devoid of manners and affection, but only matter-of-fact, was the relatively small surprise that awaited Lieberman. While he was talking to Deri, Justice Minister Yariv Levin and Cabinet Secretary Yossi Fuchs, explaining that he was willing to join only for a place in the war cabinet, the Likud spokesperson's group had already issued a statement that he had joined the government. Cheap political trick.

The people at the top of the leadership now point to an inconceivable gap between the round-the-clock professional work and the tricks, shticks and sometimes amateurs that trickle out.
The price of the subscription of associates
Even if Netanyahu and Galant are secretly already thinking about the commission of inquiry, their relationship is closer than ever. Even newcomers to the government say it looks good. The cooperation is excellent, information flows, calls on the red line and in the controllers are held frequently. No leaks, no bites. Politics is outside the room, inside is war.
But outside? Neighborhood. An adviser in the Prime Minister's Office files a complaint with the Shin Bet about an adviser in Galant's office, ministers are not allowed to enter the office, Dudi Amsalem quarrels with the Companies Authority, and Likud ministers swear that family and flatterers exert irrelevant pressure on the prime minister and waste unnecessary time and energy.
It didn't start today or a week ago. The competition to appoint Likud cronies has exacted a heavy price. Good CEOs left, crony CEOs were appointed. Partners in critical discussions talk about amateurism, zero follow-ups of decisions made, lack of professionalism.
This feeling is clearly evident among Likud members. Distal Atabrian has resigned, and there are quite a few others talking about this possibility. It is highly doubtful that this will happen during the war, but at six and a minute later, the Likud will look different.
