French President Emmanuel Macron landed in Israel on Tuesday morning for a solidarity visit following Hamas' criminal attack. Israel is satisfied with France's support for Israel's position and its opposition to a ceasefire that would help Hamas. Macron will also meet today with Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, who has not condemned Hamas' atrocities and is expected to pay allowances to the thousands of terrorists who participated in the massacre starting in the coming days.
On the Israeli side, the French president will first meet family members of abductees with French citizenship. Later, he will speak separately with Israeli President Isaac Herzog, Prime Minister Netanyahu, small cabinet member Benny Gantz, and opposition leader Lapid. In the evening, Macron will leave the country and return to Paris.

Before the French president arrived, his foreign minister, Catherine Colonna, said that "Hamas is a terrorist group whose plan is to destroy a country, Israel, and sow hatred and chaos, and not to realize the aspirations of the Palestinians. The scale of the massacres and atrocities committed leaves little doubt that this attack was deliberate, orchestrated and planned. It also stands out for its cruelty, its savagery, its barbarism. Macron's arrival in Israel is part of a chain of senior officials who have arrived in Israel in the past two weeks, including US President Joe Biden, US Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense, British Prime Minister, German Chancellor, Italian Prime Minister and other leaders.
