Noa Kirel today (Thursday) shared the documentation of her emotional encounter with Mika Shani, whose brother Amit was kidnapped to the Gaza Strip by Hamas terrorists on Black Saturday, October 7.
In a video and story posted on her Instagram account, Kyrell sought to expose netizens to the pain of the families through Shani, speaking from the depths of her heart and conveying an important message to anyone who has a profile on social media.
"In recent days, I have met children and families who were uprooted from their homes on that terrible massacre. So many heartbroken children who lost loved ones while other family members were taken hostage by Hamas," Kyrell wrote before posting the video with Shani. "I met sweet Mika yesterday. Her brother, Amit, 16, was abducted to Gaza. Mika bravely shared with me how she and her family feel these days. I was heartbroken by the number of stories, by the magnitude of the disaster. We must make efforts to return the abductees safe and sound as soon as possible," she concluded.

Minutes later, Kyrell posted Mika's message, being by her side at those moments. "Hi, I'm Mika, my brother is currently in Gaza. He is 16 years old. On Saturday he had his birthday," she said. "Really?" asked Kyrell. "Yes, it was hard," Mika shared, adding: "I wanted to take advantage of the stage and say that behind every captive that you all see in a picture or some ad, behind every one of them there is an entire family that doesn't sleep at night, who dies of worry and uncertainty really kills. Take advantage of your stage. Anyone who can upload. For you, it's another story or another photo, and for us it really is. It's a whole world."
