A nurse in the hematology department at Sheba Tel Hashomer Hospital was arrested Thursday morning on suspicion of expressing support for Hamas.

The nurse was arrested while working at the hospital, after apparently expressing support for an Instagram page about the destruction caused in the Gaza Strip. The hospital and police confirmed the details.

It should be noted that since October 7, when the Iron Sword War began, there have been several cases in which health workers have been immediately suspended for expressing support for the terrorist organization.

Last week, a Palestinian doctor was suspended at Hadassah Hospital after he allegedly expressed support for Hamas on social media, pending a hearing to examine terminating his employment there. At the same time, the hospital notified the Civil Administration of the freezing of the doctor's entry permit into Israel.

In addition, during the first week of the attack, the Health Ministry suspended a nurse who published posts with racist and nationalist statements supporting the massacre carried out by Hamas in the southern communities and the Gaza envelope. This week, Soroka Hospital suspended a Jewish nurse who disseminated information that there were many employees there who supported terrorism, and asked to refer posts and testimonies to her. Soroka explained that the nurse "harms the working public by hurling unfounded slurs that harm their sense of security in the workplace," and noted that despite requests to pass on information about allegedly pro-Hamas employees, she did not do so.
