For many Israelis, "The Bride from Istanbul" is not only a beloved and popular Turkish telenovela, but also the favorite and best-selling dessert in Keren and Itzik Kadosh's pastry shop, "Kadosh Cafe" in Jerusalem.
Now, in light of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's outrageous and vicious statements that "Hamas is not a terrorist organization, but a liberation organization fighting for its land" and a host of other anti-Semitic statements and incidents that have taken place in the country, Kadosh has decided to change the name of the beloved dessert, and to that end she is asking for the help of her followers to help find a new name instead of the tribute to the Turks, who no longer deserve it.

"I will not give up on this wonderful dessert," Kadosh said, "but I gave up on the name as soon as I saw and heard the words of a president who, instead of condemning the Nazi enemy, chose to defend his actions, while the State of Israel still weeps over the losses and prays for the safety of the wounded and the return of the abductees. Can't even think that customers will continue to enjoy a dessert named after the Turkish series. Calls on friends to suggest a different name. Together we will win."
