For the first time in my life, I write in the first person. After a long and intense career and decades of performing, I feel that there are moments in a person's life when he wants nothing but to voice the truth within himself.
Like every Israeli citizen, I feel the need to cry out my pain. Our souls were torn apart on 7 October. For a month now, we have been trying to collect the fragments of the Jewish soul that beats in our hearts.
The song that was written here and brought to you for the first time is the story of this rift, alongside the hope and the knowledge that we will overcome and not forget for a moment that we are the chosen people.
In the delicate fabric between us and this land, we have sacrificed dear and heroic people, thanks to whom our country continues to exist. This is my prayer for their commemoration and my call for the eternity of the land of our forefathers, the Land of Israel.
