Police arrived at Jerusalem's Mea Shearim neighborhood on Wednesday to take down Palestinian flags that had been hung in the neighborhood. During the activity, the police officers were documented beating uninvolved passersby with unusual aggressiveness.
According to the police, during the officers' activity, a disturbance began, which included throwing various objects; Eggs, water, bottles, stone-throwing at the policemen and even insults at the policemen, including 'Nazi terrorists.'

This led to the alleged police brutality documented in the video showing the officers aggressively throwing several people who stood in their way and apparently did nothing.
The police, for their part, claimed that the police and Border Police forces operating at the scene acted to disperse the enthusiastic crowd that shouted hateful slogans at the officers.
When, after searching the police, Palestinian flags were taken down and erased with the help of the municipality, the graffiti reading: "1400 Zionist terrorists neutralized", Zionists = Nazis and more.
Police response: "The police will continue to act with determination against anyone who violates order in time of war, acts against the State of Israel and harms police officers or civilians."
