Iran's Fars News Agency reported on Sunday the arrest of three operatives belonging to the Israeli Mossad, who planned to attack it with drones across the border with Afghanistan.
According to the report, "As a result of intelligence cooperation between the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence and the Taliban, a drone attack on Iran was thwarted." The agency claimed that three operatives belonging to the Israeli Mossad who had Iranian citizenship and planned to carry out the operation by launching drones had been detained. It was also claimed that they would soon be transferred to Iran for further interrogation.

The publication has no confirmation from other sources. This is not the first time that Iran's intelligence ministry has announced the foiling of Mossad "spy networks."
In the past, raids against networks that allegedly collaborated with Israel were reported in the country. For example, it was claimed in December 2022 that "six squads working for the benefit of the Mossad were arrested and they included 23 people."
