Tourism in Israel is on the decline, few Israeli tourists fly abroad and even fewer who come to Israel. An iron sword war caused quite a few airlines to suspend their operations in Israel for the next few weeks, but the announcements received from Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean, shipping companies considered giants, among the largest in the world, were unusual.
Royal Caribbean and Norwegian have announced that they will not sail to and from Israel until the end of this year, and that all of both companies' cruises are canceled until the end of 2024. This is an announcement that has not been received from any tourism company, including airlines, which, as stated, cancel their flights in most cases, for the next few weeks only.

We also checked with MSC, which is also considered a very large shipping company and also operates vacation cruises to and from Israel. The company said that at this stage, the planned cruises are expected to continue, but the company is monitoring developments and decisions will be made according to the situation.
Three granting companies entered Israel only after the Corona period, which was real news for the cruise industry. Most of the cruises from Israel and Israel were in very high demand and operated mainly in the Mediterranean basin, including the Greek islands, Cyprus and Turkey – another country where tourism from Israel is expected to be significantly affected as a result of the Iron Sword War.
