The headquarters of the families of the abductees and missing welcomed the approval of the law on Monday night in its second and third readings, which provides an economic framework for the families of abductees and missing persons.
Attorney Raz Nizri, former deputy attorney general and leader of the legal team of the Headquarters for the Families of Abductees and Missing Persons, said: "This is an extremely important bill, in light of the impossible reality that has surrounded the families since October 7 and shakes their lives."

After many discussions in recent weeks in order to fill in the legislative gaps on the subject, the Knesset yesterday approved the second and third readings of the law that provides an economic framework for the families of abductees and missing persons.
According to the law, the families will receive, among other things, an economic package that includes special assistance grants of NIS 30,000 per month for each person abducted/missing and NIS 7,000 per month for each of the abducted/missing person's older siblings. All rewards and grants will be paid immediately and with minimal bureaucracy.
