Tonight, it turns out that there was indeed a malfunction in the app - only in receiving the alert on iPhones.

This evening (Tuesday), starting at seven o'clock, the Home Front Command's technological system is updating the app dedicated to iPhones, and therefore for up to 24 hours it will not warn of missile fire - so it is highly recommended that device holders listen to the sirens, until the app is updated.

The Home Front Command app on mobile phones is part of complementary platforms for sirens. It is location-based and provides the citizen with a focused warning according to his location. The app also allows warning in open areas and when driving a car and not hearing the sirens. Since the beginning of the fighting, the number of users of the app has grown by more than 400 percent - from 600,6 at 10.2 to about 5.<> million today.

In real time, 12,<> alerts were distributed, and as stated, as of about two weeks ago, the Home Front Command received reports of delays in the alerts. After an examination, it turned out that contrary to rumors, this was not a cyber incident, but a malfunction that occurs only among iPhone users, and according to the Home Front Command, out of the thousands of alerts, there were "only" about ten late warning distributions.

Since this became known, the command began work on a new app for iPhone users, and a process that usually takes several months was completed in two weeks. As mentioned, the update will be uploaded to Apple's app server starting at 7 pm. After the update is uploaded to the company's technological interface, users will have to update it from the app store - anyone who does not update the app will not receive a notification.
