The IDF Spokesperson's Office announced Thursday evening that the body of spotter Roni Eshel, who had been considered missing since the brutal massacre on October 7, had been identified.
Eshel was considered missing until now, and over the past 34 days no information has been received about her, as killed or abducted, until today, as stated, her body has been identified.
Roni's aunt, Idit, said: "The Chief Rabbi came to us and they said that the body had been identified with certainty by a laboratory in the United States. As the days went by we had the feeling that she was kidnapped, we went day after day without news, until proven otherwise."

"Her father fought and we were all in full faith that she was alive, we were told that from the twentieth of the month the findings were already under examination, we didn't know anything since then, the findings were very difficult. Our feeling now is one of great loss, sadness and pain."
In the days that have passed since the terrible events and the "Iron Swords" war, her father Eyal decided to open an independent investigation, visited its base and was interviewed by many media outlets about her.
Eshel, 19, admired singer Taylor Swift and her friends, with the help of the official Twitter account of the State of Israel, contacted the singer and her people in recent days in order to enlist the singer in assisting the campaign to find her.
