On Sunday, actress Natalie Portman met with representatives of the families of the abductees in France, at a meeting organized by the civilian abductees' headquarters.

This evening, Portman posted a video of support: "To the families, I was fortunate to meet some of you yesterday. I am still terrified of what your family members went through and are still going through now."

Later in the star's statement, she referred to the alleged humanitarian crisis on both sides, in a kind of politically correct tone, saying, "I join your call on the international community to put an end to this great national humanitarian disaster, and to protect all people, children and adults, all innocent people who are suffering right now."

At the same time, the actress issued an unequivocal call and solidarity with the disaster that has befallen the State of Israel since October 7: "I am with you, I cry with you. And I join your cry to bring them home now."

A little more than a day after the war began, Portman posted on Instagram, "My heart breaks for the State of Israel. Children, women and the elderly were murdered and kidnapped from their homes, I am horrified by these barbaric acts and my heart beats with love and prayer and for the families of the victims."
