Washington is painted blue and white: A huge rally in support of Israel will soon take place in Washington, D.C., and is expected to attract Jewish communities from around the country. According to the organizers, tens of thousands of participants are planned to attend the event from various Jewish institutions, including schools, universities, synagogues, youth movements and more.
Among the keynote speakers at the event will be representatives of the families of the abductees, House Speaker Mike Johnson, President Herzog, who will deliver a recorded speech, and senior officials from both parties in Congress. The purpose of the event is to strengthen American support for Israel in the fight against Hamas, and to support the Jewish communities in the country in light of the increase in anti-Semitic incidents.
The event will be opened by singer Omer Adam, followed by singer Yishai Ribo. The initiative for the rally was led by the Jewish Federations of North America alongside the Conference of Presidents of American Jewish Organizations, along with a number of other Jewish organizations. The mass rally will take place in the area of The Mall, the iconic avenue of the American capital.
Meanwhile, today the IDF Spokesperson's "horror film" will be screened to American lawmakers as part of an initiative by the Israeli Embassy in the United States. Before the rally, families of abductees who arrived in the United States last night will meet with members of the US Congress and Senate initiated by the Chabad Youth Movement.
