"Israel is stepping up allegations of Hamas crimes at Gaza's largest hospital and has announced that a captured soldier has been executed," Reuters reported. The agency clarified that the director general of the Gaza Health Ministry rejected the Israeli statement, calling it a "pure lie."

The Washington Post reported that the IDF "released footage of what it said Hamas members 'forcibly transported' hostages through Shifa Hospital on October 7, presenting the video as proof that Hamas used the hospital 'on the day of the massacre as terrorist infrastructure.'"
The newspaper noted that "Hamas, in response, did not dispute that the abductees received medical treatment and said that some were injured by Israeli airstrikes."

The American network NBC extensively deals with the IDF's fighting near hospitals and the difficult humanitarian situation in them, as well as the fear of real harm to the lives of premature babies and terminally ill patients hospitalized there. Despite the headline, only at the bottom of the article, in its sequence of regular reports, is the exposure of the IDF Spokesperson mentioned in a short paragraph.

The British newspaper The Guardian told its readers that "the Israeli military has indicated that the footage shows foreign hostages being taken into Shifa Hospital in Gaza," noting that the footage is taken from security cameras.
They also mentioned the IDF's claim that an Israeli soldier was killed in the hospital corridors. According to the newspaper, the IDF's searches of the hospital compound illustrate the complexity of the conflict in Gaza, and Israel's efforts to obtain international support.

It should be noted that among the most influential media outlets in the CBS world, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, as well as the British Sky News, reported extensively on the plight of patients and doctors in the Gaza hospital, but no reference has yet been made to the IDF Spokesperson's exposure regarding the holding of abductees in the corridors.
The Associated Press and Agence France-Presse also noted that Shifa Hospital had become the epicenter of the war in Gaza, but they too had not commented on the report about the prisoners brought there.

The global media is closely monitoring the raid on the hospital in Gaza, waiting for evidence to justify the operation there. A number even claimed that the evidence presented so far was insufficient and that the IDF's videos showed only small stockpiles of small arms discovered in the hospital compound.
As noted, the mainstream media reported on the IDF's findings at the hospital and on evidence relating both to the October 7 massacre, including intelligence material, and to the claim that a Hamas headquarters operates beneath the hospital.
