The State of Israel has been marking 51 days full of sadness, pain and astonishment that have struck us all since October <>. Glued to the screens, Israeli citizens followed and continues to follow reports on the condition of the captives and abductees who returned home.

The last few days, since Friday, when the first phase was held, in which the 13 abductees were released from Hamas captivity as part of the agreement to return the abductees with Hamas, which was accompanied by two additional phases in which additional prisoners were released, have a comforting force that reminds us all that there is still hope, for the living, the survivors and for those who are still waiting for rescue.

The moving reunion of the Zin families (the mother Maayan with her daughters Dafna and Ella), the Shoham and Shoshan Haran families, and the reunion of the Avigdori family (Sharon and Noam who returned to the family and father Chen), are some of the moments of national happiness that we all share with them with tears of joy.

Maayan Zin wrote: "After a long period of living on the island and terrible opinions, my daughters are finally with me. Those were 51 days of living between despair and hope, between pain and optimism, and I'm glad I'm here with them now. The girls are returning to a new and complex situation, and now we have a recovery period that will take time.

"The time will come to thank everyone who was around me and supported me and everyone who helped shout my outcry in Israel and around the world. It's joy mixed with sadness. Joy for the girls here and sadness for those who have not yet returned. My heart will not be complete until everyone returns home safely."

Sharon and Noam Avigdori, a mother and daughter from Hod Hasharon who were abducted together while visiting their family, the Haran families and who are in Kibbutz Be'eri, have returned home.

Chen's husband wrote a post summarizing his 50 terrible days: "The craziest, most surreal, scary, terrible and chaotic 50 days I've ever had. And that was definitely enough for me. Wishing myself incredibly boring days."

In the Shoham family, those abducted to Gaza are mother Adi (38), father Tal (38), and their two young children, Naveh, 8, and Yahel, 3. However, while the mother and children returned, the father of the family remained behind.

On Black Saturday, Shoshan Haran's daughter, Adi, came to visit her and her husband Avshalom in Bari. When the terrorists attacked, the family, headed by their grandmother and grandfather (Shoshan and Avshalom), entered the safe room with several other family members – but the terrorists managed to enter the house and abducted many of them. Unfortunately, a few days later, the body of Avshalom Haran was discovered.

Shoshan Haran, along with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren, were kidnapped along with other family members. Two of the family members, Yehudit and Natalie Raanan, who were kidnapped, were the first to be released from captivity.
